Testimonies

Deannetta Nash Hodges

“I have been coming to see LaCinda once a month for a while now for my stiff muscles in my neck and shoulders due to my job and my autoimmune disease. She communicates very well with me to find out my problem areas and gets me unkinked and feeling much better!! Thank you so much!! I have recently persuaded my mom to try massage and she is hooked now too.”

Sarah Higley

“Going to LaCinda was a great experience! I was able to find out the root cause of my headaches that I have been experiencing for the majority of my life. I would highly recommend going to see LaCinda.”

Margaret Lucas

“I am 68 and without their help I would be in a wheelchair from ankle injuries untreated from long ago. They carefully and completely worked on muscles I didn’t know ankle and feet had! Now they’re working on my shoulder (rice crispy pops). I can now reach the shoulder belt on my car without “help” from the left arm. I am totally satisfied and grateful too. What a blessing to have them here!”

Judy Hambleton

“If there were six stars I would have given them six stars I highly recommend them for anyone who has any muscle or joint pain. LaCinda is wonderful! This year I’m working in my yard including digging and planting flowers. Lots of bending and lifting! Last year I couldn’t do any of that!”

Louise Hall

“Only relief for my low back and leg pain I’ve had in months has been from LaCinda.”

Gail Smith Levan

The most effective type of massage therapy for muscular pain is neuromuscular therapy. Neuromuscular therapy is also called trigger point myotherapy. The American Academy of Pain Management recognizes this form of massage therapy as an effective treatment for pain.

Neuromuscular massage therapy technique consists of alternating levels of concentrated pressure on the areas of muscle spasm, attachment or belly of the muscle. The massage therapy pressure is usually applied with the fingers. Once applied to a muscle spasm, the pressure should not vary for ten to thirty seconds or longer.

A thorough therapist will take their time and add different angles with the pressure, as well as incorporating myofascial release therapy done without lotion to separate connective tissue from muscles. This stimulates nerve and lymphatic flow. Another effective tool is positional release. Pinning a shortened non-compliant muscle, then taking it through its fullest range of motion, is great for pain relief.

Swedish massage therapy increases muscle repair by 6o percent, compared to resting muscle repair at 16 percent. It improves immune function and stimulates blood circulation for optimal health regulation.

Swedish massage therapy is an excellent relaxation technique to control pain while calming the nervous system. This is the reason both neuromuscular and Swedish massage therapies will be proudly offered in your recovery treatment at Ozark Massage Clinic.

Most people enjoy a massage, but few think about its benefits. According to the American Massage Therapy Association, research shows that massage therapy provides several important health benefits such as improving blood circulation, repairing muscles, enhancing range of motion, and boosting endorphin levels (which helps improve mood and decrease the effect of chronic pain).

Knowing your options when it comes to massage therapy will help you make better choices in dealing with any pain you may be experiencing. Pain relief never felt so good!
