FAQs
What is Ozark Massage Clinic?
It’s a place where massage and therapy come together to help you the client improve your quality of life, boost your immunity or simply feel good!
We’re a resource to massage therapist & meditation devices, that give you a bridge to improve your energetic health.
Can a single massage therapy session “fix” me?
We never claim to fix. We offer therapeutic services that may help ease your discomforts.
There’s no definite answer to this question, clients vary with different ailments, some chronic, some intermittent. The therapies to alleviate these conditions varies as well.
Some people walk away from a single massage therapy session feeling immediate relief, others have felt a physical improvement from their massage session the next day or a few days later, and some have required a series of regularly scheduled massage therapy sessions in order to notice significant improvements. Everyone’s body responds differently.
It’s important to speak with your massage therapist about your ailments and your expectation, so they can help you understand the benefits they anticipate you’ll receive and how soon you can expect those benefits from your massage therapy.
While it’s ultimately up to you to decide whether you want a single session or reoccurring sessions to maintain a better quality of life.
How long of a massage should I book?
For stress management , lymphatic, any autoimmune disorder, cancer or multiple areas of discomfort; its suggested approximately 60 or 90 minute sessions. The intent is to Re-educating the nervous system from systematic to parasympathetic, this takes time.
If only wanting to target one or two areas approximately 30 min session may work better for your busy life style.

What should I do if I need to cancel my appointment?
Contact us as soon as possible by phone, text, email or by responding to your appointment reminder.
There you’re able to reschedule vs just cancel. But be advised there is a cancelation policy that you agreed to upon scheduling that states it’s full price for not calling 24 hours in advance. There are some exceptions such as illness or car accidents, we understand, even our therapists get sick so there’s discretion. However reoccurring no show no calls will turn into no rescheduling.
Do I need to shower before my massage?
You don’t need to necessarily shower right before your massage, but we do ask that you come to your appointments as clean as possible.
Is it okay to talk to the massage therapist during my massage?
Of coarse you can, talking is a form of emotional energetic release. But you will experience the greatest benefits from your session if you just allow yourself to become quiet and relaxed, which helps your heart & brain get into a rhythm that may be healing.
Definitely communicate with your therapist if you feel any pain or if you have any concerns during your massage. Sports & Precision neuromuscular massage therapist work on deep layers of muscle and tissue & will require more feedback.
I woke up with a cold today. Should I come in?
A massage will likely just make you feel worse. If you are sick, you may get your therapist sick and pass it on to other clients that day. Even if you are giving less than a 24 hour notice, we prefer you reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell, so let us know as soon as possible.
What should I do after I receive a massage or meditative service?
If you just received a pnmt service then keep moving. I always say “move it or loose it”. When we loose a range of motion the last thing we want to do after regaining movement is loose it again. So walk, workout gently but keep moving & re-educating the muscles & nerves that you still want too & its worth fighting for.
If you just received therapeutic massage or a meditative service, it’s a great idea to give yourself some additional time to continue relaxing and to allow your body to fully absorb the benefits. The goal is to educate the mind body energetic connection to rest & digest not fight or flight. Where always responding, fixing and serving others, but now is the time to allow your body & mind to connect, too “Just Be Still”, repair & recover!
Is it ok to exercise right after a massage or meditation?
The intent is self care, so most people prefer to stay relaxed and enjoy the feeling of recovery your physical & energetic body go through. However exercising beforehand might be a better idea.
Should I tip my service provider?
Although some of us are therapist we still rely on gratuity in Missouri until they make the service industry taxable. Another reason we still tip massage therapist is because of the physical component, unlike any other field of medicine, most therapist can only physically perform part time. But tipping is neither required nor expected, but of course its appreciated! So if you would like to leave a tip, simply add the gratuity at checkout.
Please know, the best appreciation you can show is by referring your friends and family to us and letting them know about the amazing benefits of massage therapy & meditation into your self care.
