Neuromuscular Massage Therapy

Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) is different from traditional, relaxation massage. PNMT combines soft-tissue massage with a science-based approach to treat pain and dysfunction caused by misalignments and imbalances in the muscles. This is a targeted approach. Instead of your session treating your whole body, PNMT focuses on the areas where you need the most help and relief.

This form of massage therapy is ideal for someone with limited range of motion or unexplained pain, or muscle or tissue restrictions. This is also helpful for pain that starts somewhere (like your shoulder), but you feel it somewhere else (like your neck).

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point therapy is commonly used in neuromuscular massage therapy. This is used to intentionally produce (or “trigger”) a painful response. Creating this response helps your practitioner better understand the pain you’re experiencing to help bring healing and relief.

Sometimes clients experience pain in multiple locations, not realizing the centers of pain may all be related. Trigger point therapy helps your neuromuscular massage therapist identify the root cause of the problem and help you find relief. Many clients experience a significant decrease in pain after one treatment*. With consistent, preventative maintenance, many clients achieve lasting results.
